A prostrate, branched, annual herb, 15-38 cm long. Leaves subsessile, 2-3.8 cm long, oblong or oblong-obovate, clothed with yellowish hairs. Flowers small, yellow, in 2-4-flowered racemes. Pods 1.2-1.5 cm long, inflated, glabrous.
Roots are used in derangements of the stomach and diarrhoea, especially infantile diarrhoea.
